On the fourth day of the National Conference of Provincial Directors of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Allahyari Foumani, CEO of the Roudaki Cultural and Artistic Foundation, participated in a special session dedicated to the Foundation on the morning of Thursday, July 24 (2nd of Mordad), where he outlined the Foundation\u2019s artistic and cultural programs across the provinces and announced its readiness to expand these activities.<\/p>\n

Roudaki Foundation: Allahyari began his remarks by referencing the formation of the Roudaki Foundation as a public non-governmental organization under the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, established by a resolution of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), and highlighted its significant role in organizing the country\u2019s artistic activities.<\/p>\n

He pointed to recent performances by the Iran National Orchestra in Mazandaran Province (as part of the province\u2019s Martyrs Congress) and the Tehran Symphony Orchestra in Lorestan Province (featuring the performance of the symphony \u201cFalak al-Aflak\u201d), and announced the upcoming performance of the Iran National Orchestra in Gilan Province. He stated:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Iran National Orchestra, the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and the Iranian Instruments Orchestra of this Foundation are consistently rehearsing and performing on a monthly basis. These orchestras can serve as key platforms for holding high-quality performances in the provinces. This initiative is a step towards promoting cultural equity and enabling fellow citizens across the country to access classical and national Iranian music.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that the Foundation is ready to collaborate on joint projects with provinces to produce orchestral pieces dedicated to national icons and cultural treasures of the regions.<\/p>\n

The CEO of the Roudaki Foundation also announced plans to deploy conductor leaders of the Foundation’s orchestras to the provinces to transfer knowledge to local artists by holding professional training workshops. He continued:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also intend to invite talented students and musicians from provincial music conservatories and orchestras to participate as guest performers in our orchestral performances in Tehran.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allahyari further emphasized the importance of utilizing the capacity of the Roudaki Foundation\u2019s Art Education Center in the fields of music, theater, and visual arts, and added:<\/p>\n
\u201cWith the presence of experienced instructors from this center, we can organize specialized courses and training workshops in the provinces, allowing local artists to benefit from professional education.\u201d<\/p>\n

Continuing the session, the CEO proposed the organization of a “National Day for the Provinces” in Tehran, and expressed the readiness of the Foundation\u2019s venues\u2014particularly the Azadi Tower Complex\u2014to host these events. He said:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Azadi Tower, with its performance halls, galleries, and various facilities, offers a suitable venue for holding conferences and commemorations of provincial cultural icons. Additionally, the projection mapping capability on the fa\u00e7ade of the Azadi Tower enables the showcasing of each province\u2019s cultural, artistic, and tourism potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also announced the Foundation’s readiness to stage puppet operas by Master Behrouz Gharibpour in the provinces.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the session, the proposal to establish regional working groups to facilitate dialogue and cultural exchanges between the Roudaki Foundation and the provinces was approved and warmly welcomed by the provincial representatives.<\/p>\n
