<\/p>\nThe National Orchestra of Iran staged the concert “Staying, with a Gaze” at Vahdat Hall, performing outstanding works by Maestro Homayoun Khorram under the baton of Homayoun Rahimian, receiving a warm welcome from audiences.<\/p>\n
Roudaki Foundation: on the evening of Sunday, June 8, the National Orchestra of Iran took the stage at Vahdat Hall under the direction of Homayoun Rahimian and with the vocals of Mohammad Abdolhosseini, performing works by the late Homayoun Khorram in commemoration of the distinguished artist.
\nIn this concert, Babak Shahraki, a student of Maestro Khorram, accompanied the orchestra as violin soloist.
\nIn this concert, the following pieces were performed: \u201cRoozi To Khahi Amad\u201d (One Day You Will Come) with lyrics by Mohammad Ali Shirazi, \u201cRafteh\u201d (Gone), \u201cGive Me tollorence\u201d (S\u0101gharam Shekast Ey S\u0101ghi) with lyrics by Rahim Moeini Kermanshahi, \u201cVaay Az Shab-e Man\u201d with lyrics by Rahi Moayyeri, \u201cLotf-e Bikaran\u201d based on a poem by Hafez and composed and arranged by Homayoun Rahimian, \u201cPayk-e Sahari\u201d and \u201cOwj-e Asemaan\u201d with lyrics by Karim Fakour, and \u201cTo Ey Pari Kojaayi\u201d with lyrics by Houshang Ebtehaj, all performed with vocals by Mohammad Abdolhosseini.<\/p>\n

Also, the pieces \u201cRaaz-e Del\u201d and \u201cAshk-e Man Hoyda Shod\u201d, featuring violin solos by Babak Shahraki, were among the other compositions presented to the audience during the concert. The audience\u2019s extended applause after each piece and at the end of the concert indicated the enduring popularity of the works of this great master of music.
\nIn response to continued applause, the orchestra performed \u201cOwj-e Asemaan\u201d again, featuring a violin solo by Babak Shahraki.
\nDuring the performance, Mohammad Abdolhosseini addressed the audience between pieces, extending greetings and commemorating the memory of Homayoun Khorram. He said:
\n\u201cThis tribute bearing the name of Maestro Homayoun Khorram is also a celebration of fifty years of noble Iranian music.\u201d<\/p>\n
Abdolhosseini added:
\n\u201cTwo esteemed artists are present tonight \u2014 Reza Khorram, son of the late Homayoun Khorram, and Salar Moeini Kermanshahi, a descendant of Iran\u2019s great poetic and lyrical heritage. Under such circumstances, performing these pieces in the presence of the maestro\u2019s son is a difficult task for me. Without exaggeration, some of the best Persian songs of the past fifty years were written by the late Moeini Kermanshahi, alongside other top lyricists, and we are truly grateful to him.\u201d<\/p>\n
