The musical event “On the Throne of Melody”<\/i>, held in commemoration of the 70th birthday of Maestro Parviz Meshkatian, took place on the evening of Wednesday, May 14, with the enthusiastic presence of music lovers at Vahdat Hall.<\/p>\n
Roudaki Foundation: this event – organized by the family of Master Meshkatian (Ava and Ayeen Meshkatian) in collaboration with the Roudaki Foundation – hosted a gathering of artists and fans of this genre of music.<\/p>\n
The Hamnavazan-e Vadad<\/i> ensemble, under the leadership of Kiarash Davoudi, performed memorable works by Master Meshkatian in two parts at this concert, accompanied by the vocals of Mojtaba Asgari and Pouria Akhavas.<\/p>\n
The audience\u2019s warm reception confirmed that authentic Iranian music continues to hold a special place in people\u2019s hearts.
\nThe first part of the concert was dedicated to the performance of the album “Vatan-e Man”<\/i> (My Homeland), featuring vocals by Mojtaba Asgari. This album, one of Meshkatian\u2019s well-known works in the Segah modal system, began with instrumental and vocal improvisation and then reached its peak.<\/p>\n
In the second part, Pouria Akhavas performed the album “Ofogh-e Mehr”<\/i> (Horizon of Affection) in the Homayoun modal system. This album is among the last works composed by Meshkatian, and its melodies lent a unique atmosphere to Vahdat Hall. The concert concluded with continuous applause from the audience in the presence of prominent music masters.<\/p>\n
