Roudaki Hall
Rudaki Hall is located on the third floor of the seven-story administrative building in the southwest corner of Vahdat Hall. The hall features 7 rows of seats on the ground floor, accommodating 133 people. The balcony of Rudaki Hall, located on the fourth floor of the administrative building, includes 5 rows of seats with a capacity for 70 spectators. In total, Rudaki Hall can host 203 people during cultural and artistic events, including both the ground floor and balcony.
The stage of Rudaki Hall is designed in a picture-frame style, with a stage height of 110 centimeters from the ground. The stage dimensions are 15.50 meters in width and 12.50 meters in depth. The ceiling height from the proscenium is 6 meters, and from the back of the stage to the ceiling, it is 4.50 meters. A unique feature of Rudaki Hall is the 81 sound reflectors designed into the ceiling, eliminating the need for microphones for musical groups. Another notable feature is the 62-square-meter podiums, which facilitate creating level differences in stage designs for cultural and artistic programs.
Rudaki Hall, with its mentioned facilities, hosts numerous concerts by traditional music groups, orchestral performances, various sections of the Fajr Music Festival, Youth Music Festival, contemporary music, regional and ethnic music of Iran, and international music groups. Additionally, it holds specialized and research meetings as part of its activities.
Technical Features of Rudaki Hall
In November-December 2009, Rudaki Hall was equipped with a lighting system under the license of ADB and a Dyna Cord (Power Mate 1600) sound system from Germany. In December 2009-January 2010, the final stages of repair, restoration, and equipping of Rudaki Hall were completed, including the installation of cameras, a lighting bridge, an acoustic system, flooring, portable curtains, video projection, and the replacement of the stage and seats. The sound system was upgraded to a Midas M32 digital mixer and multiple microphones, enabling simultaneous recording of programs.
Music Archive
The music archive is located on the third floor, behind the stage of Rudaki Hall. The archive measures 5 x 5 meters (25 square meters) , with shelves reaching 3 meters in height , housing 1,500 pieces (scores and parts). A unique feature of this archive is that a significant portion of its pieces are not available elsewhere.
The works in the music archive are categorized into three types :
- Pieces by Iranian composers arranged for symphony orchestras .
- Classical (international) pieces for symphony orchestras .
- Pieces arranged for the national orchestra (lacking brass instruments).
- Pieces arranged for Iranian instruments .
