Hafez Hall

Hafez Hall is located next to Ferdowsi Hall on a 400-square-meter plot . The theater structure, designed as a black box by engineer Niloufar Niksar , with Behrang Bani Adam as the architect, adheres to the necessary standards for modern and contemporary performances. Hafez Theater is a black box hall designed according to Neue Ster standards . The standards applied here differ from those of other theaters, as it is constructed with a bolt-and-nut design using lightweight steel and sandwich panels. The theater’s ceiling is made of fireproof and waterproof fabric.

After Vahdat Hall, this theater is the only venue equipped with 5 lifts for changing sets and raising stage decorations and accessories. These lifts can carry 200 to 300 kilograms up to a height of 7 meters . The stage of Hafez Theater measures 10 x 10 meters (100 square meters) and allows for one-sided, two-sided, three-sided, and four-sided audience seating arrangements. In one-sided mode, it seats 80 people ; in two-sided mode, 160 spectators ; and in three-sided mode, it reaches its maximum capacity of 200 spectators . For set design and installation, with a usable area of 8 x 8 meters (64 square meters) , the theater is illuminated by 30 projectors . The sound booth and audiovisual equipment are located on the western side, next to the lighting room. Separate makeup rooms for men and women are situated on the eastern side of the theater.
