National Orchestra of Iran to Celebrate the Birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)

The National Orchestra of Iran, conducted by Homayoun Rahimian, will perform the symphonic suite “Jan-e-Jahan-ha” (The Soul of the Worlds), composed by Milad Aghaei, on the occasion of the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as part of the “Ravayat-e Rahmat” (Narrative of Mercy) ceremony at Vahdat Hall.

Roudaki Foundation: This special performance will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM. “Jan-e-Jahan-ha,” structured as a five-movement work, presents a musical narrative of the birth of the Prophet of Mercy, exploring themes such as light, guidance, love, and compassion for the audience.

In this piece, Mahmoud Salehi, Hamed Faghihi, and Javid Asgari perform as vocalists, delivering the pieces in three languages: Persian, Arabic, and English. The lyrics for all movements of this symphonic suite are written by Ali-Mohammad Mo’addeb.

“Jan-e-Jahan-ha” is composed of five movements titled: (Then, O Trustworthy One), (The First Radiance), “In the Shade of Love,” ” (The Light of Guidance), and (The Sun of the World). This work aims to offer an artistic and transcultural portrayal of the character and message of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), drawing upon the capacities of orchestral music and vocal performance.

This performance represents an opportunity for orchestral music to participate in narrating one of the most significant cultural and spiritual events of the Islamic world. Through the integration of poetry, vocals, and orchestra within a unified composition, it will present a musical depiction of the Prophet of Mercy and his global standing.
