With the Release of “Tolou-e Zafar” in the Seventh Week / Part One of “Eight Years and These Days” Completed

The first part of the musical project “Eight Years and These Days” has been completed with the release of the piece “Tolou-e Zafar” (Dawn of Victory), performed in 1984. In the second part, more works from those days of Iranian music will be made available to enthusiasts.

Roudaki Foundation: in continuation of the musical project “Eight Years and These Days,” the piece “Tolou-e Zafar” — composed by Hadi Arazm in honor of the legacy of resistance music — is now being offered free of charge to the general public, researchers, and music lovers.

Arzam composed “Tolou-e Zafar” to a poem by Ziaodin Torabi, with Esfandiar Qarabaghi performing the vocals. The work was originally performed in December 1984 by the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and the re-release is now available on the Roudaki Foundation’s website.

The project “Eight Years and These Days” has been initiated by the Roudaki Foundation to preserve the musical heritage of the Sacred Defense era, reflecting the genuine solidarity of artists with the soldiers and defenders of the homeland throughout those years. In continuation of this project, other works by great masters of traditional and orchestral Iranian music will be made available to the public.

All citizens and interested audiences can access the released works free of charge by visiting the Roudaki Foundation’s information platform at: https://roudakifoundation.com/shop.

Previously, six pieces — “Sarood-e Qalam” (Anthem of the Pen), “Ofogh-e Khonin” (Crimson Horizon), “Ey Iran” (O Iran), “Pish Be Soo-ye Jebheha” (Heading to the Fronts), “Bar Doshman Pirouzim” (We Triumph Over the Enemy), and “Sobh-e Omid” (Morning of Hope) — had been released within this project. With the release of this new piece, the first phase of the project has now been completed.
