Release of “March to the Frontlines” in the Fourth Week of the “Eight Years and These Days” Project

In the fourth week of the musical project “Eight Years and These Days”, the Roudaki Foundation has released the piece “March to the Frontlines”, originally performed in 1987 by the Wind Instruments Orchestra.

Roudaki Foundation: as part of its ongoing effort to honor the musical legacy of resistance, the Foundation has made “March to the Frontlines” freely available to the public, researchers, and music enthusiasts.

This piece was composed by Seyed Mohammad Mirzamani based on a poem by Hamid Sabzevari, and it was performed on April 16, 1987 (27th of Farvardin, 1366) by the Wind Instruments Orchestra with the accompaniment of a choir at the Nabi Akram (PBUH) military base in Bakhtaran.

The “Eight Years and These Days” project was launched by the Roudaki Foundation to preserve and reflect the musical heritage of the Iran–Iraq war era, offering a sincere portrayal of the solidarity between artists and the soldiers and defenders of the homeland during those years.

As the project continues, more works by masters of traditional and orchestral Iranian music will be made available to the public.

All interested individuals can access the released tracks for free by visiting the Roudaki Foundation’s official information platform at:
