The Third Piece of the Project “Eight Years and These Days” released / “Ey Iran” composed by Hadi Montazeri and vocals by Rashid Vatandoost
The third piece of the musical project “Eight Years and These Days” has been released, featuring the musical work “Ey Iran,” which was originally performed by the Tehran Symphony Orchestra in 1989.
Rudaki Foundation: as part of the ongoing project “Eight Years and These Days” and in honor of preserving the legacy of resistance music, the foundation has made the piece “Ey Iran,” sung by Rashid Vatandoost, freely available to the public, researchers, and enthusiasts.
This work was composed by Hadi Montazeri with lyrics by Mahmoud Shahrokhi, and orchestrated by Ali Derakhshan. The piece was performed by the Tehran Symphony Orchestra in 1989.
The project “Eight Years and These Days” was initiated by the Rudaki Foundation with the aim of keeping alive the musical heritage of the Sacred Defense era, offering an honest reflection of artists’ solidarity with warriors and defenders of the nation throughout those years.
As part of this project, more works by renowned masters of traditional and orchestral Iranian music will be made available in the future.

Previously, two other pieces had been released within this project: “Saroude Ghalam” composed by Mohammad Ahmadian with lyrics by Taha Hejazi and vocals by Mehrdad Kazemi, and “Ofoghe Khoonin” composed by Houshang Kamkar with lyrics by Moshfegh Kashani and vocals by Shahram Nazeri.
