Meeting of the Artistic Council of the Rudaki Foundation Orchestras Held / A New Perspective in Planning and Enhancing Orchestral Activities
The Artistic Council of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Iran held, attended by the CEO of the Rudaki Foundation and the newly appointed council members.
Rudaki Foundation: at the beginning of the session, the CEO expressed appreciation for the efforts and contributions of the former members of the Artistic Council, acknowledging their significant role in advancing the artistic development of the orchestras.
During the meeting, council members exchanged views on the methods of collaboration and future direction of programming for the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Iran. The discussions focused on improving the quality of performances, engaging young composers, and responding to audience preferences.
The Artistic Council of the orchestras serves as a specialized body responsible for selecting effective repertoires, inviting guest conductors, and making optimal use of the musicians’ professional capabilities. These efforts aim to enhance the status of the orchestras both nationally and internationally, as well as to increase audience satisfaction.
Hasan Riahi, Nader Mashayekhi, Mohammadreza Tafazzoli, and Mani Jafarzadeh, along with Homayoun Rahimian and Nasir Heidarian (the principal conductors of the National Orchestra of Iran and the Tehran Symphony Orchestra for the year 1404 [2025–2026]), were introduced as the new members of the Rudaki Foundation Orchestras’ Artistic Council.
