Launching of the “Persian Instruments Orchestra” by the Roudaki Foundation with Council Members Introduced and First Session Held
With the aim of promoting the status of authentic Persian music and utilizing the valuable capacities of musicians and graduates in this field — and in response to the longstanding requests of the music community — the Roudaki Cultural and Artistic Foundation has officially formed the “Persian Instruments Orchestra” after several months of expert evaluation and consultation sessions.
Roudaki Foundation: this orchestra will consist of a group of distinguished musicians alongside emerging young talents of Persian music. It intends to create a new platform for the performance and promotion of national music by presenting refined and high-quality compositions.
Simultaneously with the formal announcement of the orchestra’s launch, the Artistic Council of the Persian Instruments Orchestra was also introduced. The council includes esteemed masters: Parichehr Khajeh, Ali Bahrami-Fard, Hesam Inanlou, Ghasem Rahimzadeh, and Amirabbas Setayeshgar (representative of the Roudaki Foundation). The members received their official letters of appointment from the Director General of the Foundation.
This council will play a significant role in guiding the orchestra artistically, selecting its repertoire, and elevating its overall quality.
The Persian Instruments Orchestra has been established in line with the mission outlined in the charter of the Roudaki Foundation — to discover and nurture musical talents, and to provide a professional platform for artistic creation and performance. The orchestra strives to preserve, revive, and enrich Iranian music, thereby enhancing the presence of national music both domestically and internationally.
