In response to continued applause, the orchestra performed “Owj-e Asemaan” again, featuring a violin solo by Babak Shahraki.
During the performance, Mohammad Abdolhosseini addressed the audience between pieces, extending greetings and commemorating the memory of Homayoun Khorram. He said:
“This tribute bearing the name of Maestro Homayoun Khorram is also a celebration of fifty years of noble Iranian music.”
Abdolhosseini added:
“Two esteemed artists are present tonight — Reza Khorram, son of the late Homayoun Khorram, and Salar Moeini Kermanshahi, a descendant of Iran’s great poetic and lyrical heritage. Under such circumstances, performing these pieces in the presence of the maestro’s son is a difficult task for me. Without exaggeration, some of the best Persian songs of the past fifty years were written by the late Moeini Kermanshahi, alongside other top lyricists, and we are truly grateful to him.”
