Nasir Heydarian Appointed as Conductor of Tehran Symphony Orchestra
The CEO of the Rudaki Foundation has appointed Nasir Heydarian as the conductor of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra for the year 1404 (2025–2026).
Rudaki Foundation: Mohammad Allahyari Foomani issued the appointment decree, stating:
“Given your knowledge, experience, and valuable background in collaboration with the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and in consideration of the proposal from the esteemed members of the orchestra’s Artistic Council, you are hereby appointed as the conductor of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra for the year 1404.”
“It is hoped that, with divine assistance, you will effectively plan, prepare, and lead performances, recordings, and rehearsals within the framework of approved programs, introduce and recommend guest conductors, propose the orchestra’s repertoire to the Artistic Council, strive to enhance the musicians’ knowledge and technical skills through the selection of appropriate training repertoires, adhere to the regulations and guidelines set by the Rudaki Foundation, and fulfill other responsibilities outlined in the foundation’s statutes, thus making significant contributions and leading a fruitful period for the orchestra.”
About Nasir Heydarian
Born in Tehran, Nasir Heydarian studied orchestral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in Austria. In 1999, he was awarded the Die Richard Wagner Stipendienstiftung.
Heydarian has an extensive career, having collaborated as a conductor with the Graz Opera, Basel Symphony Orchestra, Zurich Opera, Bonn Opera, Beethoven Hall Orchestra in Bonn, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Venezuela Youth Orchestra, World Youth Orchestra, and many other ensembles.
