“Mowlavi” Opera Extended for 10 More Performances

Due to audience demand, the opera “Mowlavi” will be staged for 10 additional performances at Ferdowsi Hall starting from February 11..

Rudaki Foundation: the opera “Mowlavi”, designed, written, and directed by Behrouz Gharibpour and produced by the Aran National Opera Group and the Rudaki Cultural and Artistic Foundation, was performed for 51 nights from October to December this year at Ferdowsi Hall. Considering the audience’s enthusiasm and requests, it will be performed again for 10 days starting from February 11.
Accordingly, ticket sales for the new performances of this opera have begun on the Tiwall website and are now available to interested audiences.
The opera “Mowlavi” is the third repertoire produced by the Aran Puppet Theater Group, with research, scriptwriting, costume and lighting design, and direction by Behrouz Gharibpour. It was first staged in February 2010 and last performed in 2019 at Ferdowsi Hall.
The composer of this opera is Behzad Abdi, the conductor is Volodymyr Sirenko, and the music is performed by the National Orchestra of Ukraine.
The vocalists of this opera are Homayoun Shajarian as Shams, and Mohammad Mo’tamedi as Rumi along with other vocalists including Mohammadreza Sadeghi, Ali Khodaei, Hossein Alishapour, Maliheh Moradi, Mostafa Mahmoudi, Mehdi Emami, Amer Shadman, Mehdi Javer, Sajad Poorghanad, etc.
