The Fifth Experience of “Tarze Tazeh” with Nivak Ensemble
The Nivak Ensemble will take the stage with a violin and cello duet on January 27th as part of “Tarze Taze” initiative at the Roudaki Hall.
Roudaki Foundation: violinist Golriz Zarbakhsh and cellist Zhabiz Zarbakhsh will present pieces by renowned composers from the Classical to Contemporary periods. These include Ludwig van Beethoven (the famous German composer of the Classical era), Zoltán Kodály (the celebrated 20th-century Hungarian composer), Bohuslav Martinů (the 20th-century Czech composer), Krzysztof Penderecki (the prominent Polish composer of the 21st century), and Pēteris Vasks (the notable Latvian composer of the 21st century)
For the first time in Iran, the piece “Chaconne” by Krzysztof Penderecki will be performed during this concert.
The Nivak Ensemble was founded in 2008 by Golriz Zarbakhsh and her sister Zhabiz. In the same year, the ensemble won first place and the award at the Fajr International Music Festival. Their debut performance was held in March 2008 at the Roudaki Hall in Tehran.
“Tarze Taze” is an initiative by the Roudaki Cultural and Artistic Foundation that offers special support to innovative ideas from musical groups in various genres, including Persian classical, regional music, and Western classical music.
