A Memorable Night of “White Lands” at Vahdat Hall
On the first night of the “White Lands” concert, the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Hamed Garschchi, performed at Vahdat Hall on the evening of Tuesday, January 7.
Roudaki Foundation: “White Lands” marked the first winter concert of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, opening with the piece Azerbaijan Capriccio by the renowned composer Fikret Amirov. The orchestra then performed Adagio from the ballet Spartacus by Aram Khachaturian, arranged for orchestra by David Stone.
The performance continued with Chahargah, a piece by master Hasan Kassaei, reimagined by Nima Farhamand-Bafi. This was followed by Valse Triste, Op. 44, composed by Jean Sibelius, concluding the first half of the concert.
The program concluded with one of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s most celebrated works, Romeo and Juliet.
The Tehran Symphony Orchestra will take the stage again tonight (January 8) at Vahdat Hall, performing the second night of the “White Lands” concert, conducted by Hamed Garschchi.
