Mazyar Shahi and Hossein Alishapour Mark the Fourth Experience of ” Tarze Taze” at Vahdat Hall

In the fourth installment of the Rudaki Foundation’s “Tarze Taze” initiative, Hossein Alishapour and Mazyar Shahi will present the concert “Sudden Melodies” at Vahdat Hall on December 31, 2024.

Rudaki Foundation: following the successful execution of previous “Tarze Taze” performances, this time a concert based on Iranian classical music (Dastgah) will be performed jointly by Hossein Alishapour, a vocalist of Persian music, and Mazyar Shahi, a composer and tar player.

Nagmehaye Nagahan (Sudden Melodies) marks the second collaborative performance between these two artists in the realm of Iranian classical music. Their first joint performance was held in Mashhad in 2018.

The ensemble accompanying this performance includes Goharnaz Masaeli (tonbak), Alireza Daryaei (kamancheh), Mohammad Yousefi (ney), Farzad Mohammadnejad (oud), Mohammadmahdi Karimi (daf), and Mohsen Foroughi (moraj).

Hossein Alishapour has an extensive artistic background, having collaborated with renowned artists such as Kayhan Kalhor, Massoud Shoari, Ardshir Kamkar, Mohsen Nafar, Hadi Montazeri, Fereydoun Shahbazian, and Behzad Abdi, among others. Over 30 music albums have been released featuring his voice.

Mazyar Shahi, in addition to releasing several albums, has collaborated with the late Parviz Meshkatian and was a member of the Aref ensemble.

“Tarze Taze” is a program initiated by the Rudaki Cultural and Artistic Foundation to support innovativavailablee ideas by music ensembles across various genres, including Persian classical (radif-dastgahi), regional, and Western classical music.

The fourth edition of “Tarze Taze”, titled “Sudden Melodies” , will take place at 9:30 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 .
